Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar, known as Salim-Javed, were the first (and only) superstar screenwriters in the Hindi film industry. They revolutionized Indian cinema in the 1970s and often received top billing for many of their films, along with the movie stars.
Some of the movies are available for free viewing on YouTube, and a link is provided below in the “Video” column. In other cases, the link may indicate that the movie is available to Netflix or Amazon Prime subscribers or for a nominal fee on YouTube. Quite a few of these movies are also available for checkout at public libraries.
