This is a list of ranked Hindi songs on the Binaca Geetmala hit parade from 1971 to 1980 (with GEMs highlighted).  Note that the list is sortable by each column. (Multiple levels of sorting are possible by sorting more than one column in succession, from lowest to highest.)

The song lists compiled here are based on the Geetmala Ki Chhaon Mein recordings made by Ameen Sayani for Saregama (50 volumes).  Please note that there are some discrepancies versus Binaca Geetmala lists found elsewhere (e.g., hindigeetmala.net), and in such cases I have deferred to Ameen Sayani who is after all the creator and soul of the program.  There are a few songs in the annual countdowns which you will find missing because I did not consider them worthy of inclusion based on my own subjective criteria.  Also, a small number of songs are duplicated, because they made the hit parade in two consecutive years.
