Commentary:
‘Picturization’ is a unique concept that applies to Hindi films and it is an art form all on its own. The best directors often take storytelling to a whole new level by the way in which they show the characters of the film depicting key elements of the plot set to beautiful lyrics and music. In other cases, the song picturization is simply a delightful musical interlude all by itself, with beautifully choreographed dances or sequences, sometimes distinct and separate from the plot. In all cases, the most visually appealing song picturizations combine beautiful music with beautiful photography, camera movements and editing.
In this subsection, I have compiled my selection of the best picturized songs over the decades. Just as in the case of audio songs in the other subsections, the selection of the best picturized songs is highly subjective. But as I have found that my tastes match quite well with a majority of people I am sure most of you will find these songs to be enjoyable as well.
