This is a complete list of Superman Comics from the Silver Age: 1958-1970 (with GEMs highlighted).  The list includes links for the following: (a) Wiki page (from the Grand Comics Database, or GCD), (b) e-book (available upon request), and (c) More info on each comic (via optional posts by various contributors).

Please note that the list is sortable by each column.  (Multiple levels of sorting are possible by sorting more than one column in succession, from lowest to highest.)  You can also do an instant filtering of the table by entering a character string in the ‘Search’ field.

During the Silver Age, Superman Comics was DC’s flagship title and it was the world’s top-selling comics magazine for most of the 1960s.  Many great stories were published during this period, including many full-length novels (usually in two or three parts), which extended and enhanced the Superman legend.

The three main Superman writers during most of the Silver Age were Jerry Siegel, Otto Binder and Edmond Hamilton; other notable Superman writers during this period were Bill Finger, Jerry Coleman and Leo Dorfman.  In the latter half of the Silver Age, some new talented writers entered the scene, most notably Jim Shooter and Cary Bates.

The primary artists for Superman Comics during the Silver Age were Wayne Boring, Al Plastino and Curt Swan.  They each played a role in transforming Superman into a more modern super-hero from the cartoonish-looking character he used to be in the Golden Age comics.  Curt Swan also drew most Superman covers during the Silver Age: he was an amazing illustrator and I consider him to be the greatest Superman artist of all time.
