This is a selection of comic books featuring the Phantom (with GEMs highlighted).  The list includes links for the following: (a) Wiki page (from the PhantomWiki site), (b) e-book (available upon request), and (c) More info on each comic (via optional posts by various contributors).

Please note that the list is sortable by each column. (Multiple levels of sorting are possible by sorting more than one column in succession, from lowest to highest.)  You can also do an instant filtering of the table by entering a character string in the ‘Search’ field.

Comics featuring the Phantom are hugely popular all over the world, especially in South Asia, Australia and the Nordic countries.  In addition to the Indrajal comics published in India and the daily/Sunday strips in newspapers (which are covered in their own subsections), original Phantom stories have been published in various other comic books.  These include Gold Key Comics and King Comics published in the U.S in the 1960s.  These are quite enjoyable in general, though they depart from Lee Falk’s signature style in the newspaper strips.  There were also many Phantom stories published in Charlton Comics, but because these are poorly written and drawn (in my opinion) I have not included them here.

In addition to the U.S. comic books, there have been many original Phantom stories printed in other countries.  The most notable of these is the Swedish comic-book series Fantomen, which started publication in 1952.  The stories in these comics are generally of high quality and have been translated into many languages all over the world.  Some of the best Fantomen stories have been reproduced in the Egmont series in India as well as in Frew Publications in Australia, the latter being the oldest Phantom comic-book series continuously in publication (since 1948).  Finally, there are some great modern Phantom stories published in the Moonstone series, which are well worth reading.
