Hot Stuff (“the Little Devil”) was created by the legendary artist Warren Kremer for Harvey Comics in 1957.  Hot Stuff was the only Harvey character to make his debut in his own self-titled comic book rather than as a backup or supporting character.  He is depicted as a cute and mischievous little devil who is always getting into trouble, but ultimately means well.  Besides his creator Warren Kremer, who illustrated him for over 30 years, other artists including Howard Post and Ernie Colón shaped the look of the character.

The Hot Stuff comics were known for their humor, vibrant artwork, and imaginative stories that often involved magic and other supernatural elements.  Nearly every issue had a backup story featuring Stumbo the Giant, one of the most beloved Harvey characters, who made his debut in Hot Stuff #3 in 1958.  Stumbo was also created by Warren Kremer, and is considered by many to be his crowning artistic achievement.  There were also various spin-off comics from the main title, including Hot Stuff: Sizzlers and Devil Kids Starring Hot Stuff.  A cover gallery of Hot Stuff comics can be found here.
