Baby Huey (“the Baby Giant”) was created by Martin Taras and first appeared in the pages of Little Audrey in 1952. He is a gigantic and naïve duckling cartoon character of enormous weight and tremendous strength. Baby Huey’s popularity led to his being featured in his own comic book series in 1956, which ran until 1994. Throughout its publication history, the Baby Huey comic book series was written and drawn by many notable artists, including his creator Martin Taras and the legendary Warren Kremer.
Supporting characters in the Baby Huey comics include his parents Papa and Mama Duck and his cousin Dimwit, as well as his nemesis, the Fox. Other comics which frequently appeared as backups in Baby Huey included Herman & Katnip and Buzzy the Funny Crow. Spin-off comics from the main title included Baby Huey & Papa and Baby Huey in Duckland. The Baby Huey comics were known for their wacky humor and cartoonish style, which appealed to both children and adults. A cover gallery of Baby Huey comics can be found here.
