This is a list of Bugs Bunny comics published by Gold Key (with GEMs highlighted).  The Gold Key issues were preceded as well as followed by other comic brands (Dell and Whitman) which featured the same character, and these other comics are also included in the list.  For each comic listed, there are links to the following: (a) Wiki page (from the Grand Comics Database, or GCD), (b) e-book (available upon request), and (c) More info on each comic (via optional posts by various contributors).  [Note: In some cases where there is a set of consecutive issues listed as one entry, the Wiki link takes you to the first issue in the set, and the ‘Next Issue’ link will take you to the later issues.]

Please note that the list is sortable by each column. (Multiple levels of sorting are possible by sorting more than one column in succession, from lowest to highest.)  You can also do an instant filtering of the table by entering a character string in the ‘Search’ field.

Bugs Bunny is one of the most iconic characters in the world of animation and comics. The character first appeared in a Warner Bros. cartoon in 1940 and soon became a cultural icon.  In 1941, Dell published the first Bugs Bunny comic book written and illustrated by Chase Craig, which featured the character in a series of zany adventures.  This  was followed by several appearances in Four Color Comics, Dell’s showcase comic publication.

The Bugs Bunny comics were a hit with readers and the Dell series continued until 1962, when it was picked up by Gold Key Comics.  The Gold Key series continued until 1984 (the last few being published under the Whitman brand) and featured new and reprinted stories featuring Bugs Bunny and his supporting cast of characters.

The Bugs Bunny comics were notable for their use of established characters from the Looney Tunes universe, such as Elmer Fudd and Yosemite Sam, as well as for their colorful, cartoonish art style.  Some key contributors who worked on the series were writer Don Christensen and artists Ralph Heimdahl and Tony Strobl.  The Bugs Bunny comics have been a beloved part of the character’s history and continue to entertain readers of all ages to this day.  A cover gallery of Bugs Bunny comics can be found here.
