The predominant scripter of Brave and the Bold stories during the Silver Age was Bob Haney. In 1963, when the super-hero team-ups began, Batman was one of many DC super-heroes paired with others in the title, and an assortment of artists were used, depending on which characters were featured.  However, because of the tremendous success of the Batman TV show, in 1967 The Brave and the Bold became exclusively a Batman team-up title.  These comics proved to be a great vehicle for an up-and-coming artist Neal Adams to display his talents, and served to launch his spectacular work on Batman during the Bronze Age.
