This is a complete list of the Sherlock Holmes short stories written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle which I have classified as GEMs.  The list includes links for several associated items which may be available online for each story: (a) Wikipedia page, (b) e-book, (c) audiobook, and (d) TV show.  (The TV shows linked all star the incomparable Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes.)  For more interesting details on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, you can check out this post.

Interestingly, The Strand magazine asked Arthur Conan Doyle in 1927 to name his 12 favorite Sherlock Holmes stories, which he did.  He later added 7 more stories, making a total of 19.  Here is Conan Doyle’s list, which you can compare with my list below.  There is a lot of overlap, but there are some differences.  In any event, all the stories are great, and I am sure you will enjoy reading all of them!

Note that the list below is sortable by each column. (Multiple levels of sorting are possible by sorting more than one column in succession, from lowest to highest.)  You can also do an instant filtering of the table by entering a character string in the ‘Search’ field.
