Tales from Greek and Roman mythology are among the most enjoyable and well-known of all folklore. Although the stories date as far back as the 18th century BC, they were popularized in the English-speaking world only a few hundred years ago. The links I have provided for these stories are from the sources listed below (and the year of publication references these more modern sources rather than the original creation of these stories):
