This site is organized into five sections based on categories which can be found on the top menu:
The content on this website can be classified into the following types:
- Pages which contain “static” information comprised of textual content and media.
- Tables (lists) which are sortable by one or more columns and which also have the feature of instant searchability.
- Posts which evolve over time and contain content created by various contributors to the site.
Each of the above three types of content can include text, media and links to other parts of the site or to external websites.
Clicking on any of the five categories on the top menu will take you to the main page for that section, which contains an introduction as well as links to the subsections in that category. The subsections are based on classifications of the lists by time period or some other selection criteria (e.g., luminaries in a particular field of work). Clicking on the link for each subsection will take you to its landing page which contains more information on that specific classification and the direct links to all the lists in that subsection.
One of the unique features of the lists on this website is that they are in the form of tables which are sortable by each column. Multiple levels of sorting are possible by sorting more than one column in succession, from lowest to highest. You can also do an instant filtering of the table by entering a character string in the ‘Search’ field.
Each list contains specially highlighted items which I consider to be all-time classics, or GEMs. A “GEM” marked with the symbol is a creative work of extremely high quality (at least in my opinion); in other words, a Genuine Masterpiece, or a work which is greatly enjoyable and memorable. The GEMs in a table can be easily identified because they are marked with this special symbol .
Note: Although every attempt has been made to make the pages on this site mobile-friendly, you will have a better user experience if you view it on a computer rather than a cell phone. This is because the lists comprising the essence of the site are in the form of tables with many columns which should ideally be viewed together on one screen for maximum enjoyment.
Hope you found the above information helpful. Thank you for visiting my site!
