The early part of the Golden Age of Hindi Movies saw the rise of an incredibly talented set of filmmakers: B.R. Chopra, Bimal Roy, Guru Dutt, Hrishikesh Mukherjee, Nasir Hussain, Navketan (Dev Anand), R.K. Films (Raj Kapoor), Raj Khosla, Shakti Samanta, Vijay Anand and Yash Chopra. Although some of them had made their debut in the 1940s, by the start of the 1950s they had cemented their dominance, which continued for at least a couple of decades more.
This prolific group of filmmakers collectively produced an extraordinary collection of high-quality Hindi movies movies which will last through the ages.
